Across the Way

Across the Way is the bar Oak Cliff walks past on its way to somewhere else and then comes back to. Right at the edge of Bishop Arts, with an outdoor setup that turns any night into an event and a jukebox that doesn't take requests — it just plays what it wants. Local bands, rock, blues, and a crowd that figured out years ago that this is where you go when you want music without the spectacle. The patio is the point; everything else is just context.
